Many new hunters make the mistake of hiding behind a tree or laying down by a log to ambush the turkey. It takes too much movement to make that work. Sit down against a big tree or in front of some thick brush. As long as you wear good camo and have a good solid background, you can sit right out in the open and the turkey will never see you if you only move when his head is obstructed.
