"The last three seasons in my area have been really tough to call in a gobbler in the early morning.  As soon as they fly down, they are with hens and I just can't call them away. I would call until they all quit gobbling around 8:00 and go home frustrated. Last year a friend clued me in on late morning hunting.  He goes out around 10:00 and then calls in the gobblers after the hens have been bred and headed for food or their nests.  I gave it a try and killed two big birds between 10:30 and 12:00 in three hunts!  The gobblers were very eager and there were no other hunters where I hunt!"  Jim in Northern MO
