The water temperature is in the mid to upper 80's and the lake level is 555.6 which is up 1.5ft. from last week. Watch for surface activity and throw a topwater bait. Most of the fish are bass with a few whites and small hybrids mixed in. Look for suspended fish at least down 30 ft. and down to 60ft. and drop a jigging spoon. Some bass and walleye are in the 30-40ft range and the stripers are 40-60ft.

Jim Brentlinger at Linger's Guide Service and Fishing Lodge (870-499-5185) said the water is very muddy from the rain, but will flush quickly once the rain stops. To hook a fish, try fishing redworms or earthworms in slower holes
